The novel is divided into two parts, and its genre should belong to youth literature. The upper part of the novel is quite literary, innocent, youthful, witty and humorous, and its style draws on some elements of Korean and Taiwanese dramas; the lower part of the novel is literary, and its style, while inheriting the upper part, is flirtatious, critical, sarcastic and poignant, which is similar to factual literature and vernacular literature. Compared with the unattainable romantic love, the love depicted in the novel is more like the countryside version of the love fairy tale, and its stories are the small things around us, real and intimate, which can lead the readers back to the student age and the beautiful first love. The novel glorifies the beauty and goodness of human nature, attacks the ugliness and evil of human nature as well as many bad phenomena in the society, which is thought-provoking. In addition, seven or eight poems are written in the novel, although these poems are not of high quality.
